The severe weather event in Lincoln, Nebraska, necessitated the relocation of all 387 incarcerated individuals from the damaged units. The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services confirmed that 250 people were moved to other areas within the facility, while 137 were transferred to correctional centers in Omaha and Tecumseh.
The National Weather Service had issued warnings for winds up to 80 mph and possible hail.
