The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that the suspects would tamper with vehicles to lower the price, then resell them at a higher value after changing the odometer to reflect lower mileage.
Authorities recovered over $50,000 in cash and six vehicles as part of the investigation. The suspects are believed to be part of a larger criminal organization, and charges are pending.
