In a city council meeting, Cassandra Bibeau spoke about the issue and asked officials why the hoop, which was there when she bought the house in 2020, is suddenly a problem.
The city attorney stated the hoop is a liability and violates city code because it is in a right-of-way. While the city council decided not to grant an exception, Bibeau said she is considering purchasing liability insurance to keep the hoop.
