"My son lost his best friend in the world because these politicians won't do anything," Sharpe said. She expressed a feeling of hopelessness that similar shootings could be prevented in the future. "We need something to be done." Sharpe also said that an armed guard or armed teachers would not have prevented the shooting at Annunciation.
