The first fatal accident occurred Wednesday morning in Burnsville on I-35W, when a worker was struck by a construction vehicle equipped with a boom attachment. The second fatality happened Thursday afternoon in Maple Grove, where a contractor was hit by a dump truck on Highway 610. Both incidents took place within closed work zones, according to the Minnesota State Patrol, which is investigating both deaths.
