0:32Now PlayingTraffic safety cameras are up at five separate locations across the city of Minneapolis and will start ticketing speeding drivers this week.
The first time a driver is caught going more than 10 mph above the speed limit, they will get a warning. After that, they'll get a $40 ticket or an $80 ticket if they are going more than 20 mph over the posted speed limit.
The cameras only catch license plate numbers, and no facial recognition technology is used.
