The unoccupied seaside residences collapsed and washed away on Tuesday, Sept. 30, as powerful winds and ocean swells battered the coastline.
National Park Service officials reported that the structures succumbed to the heavy surf in less than an hour. Authorities have warned residents to avoid the area due to hazardous debris, and dangerous surf conditions are expected to continue throughout the week.
