"I came to find that the 5-year-old wasn't arrested, but that his dad was an illegal alien, and that when they went to arrest him, the father ran," Vance said.
5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, was detained Tuesday afternoon. Ramos had just arrived home from preschool when he and his father were apprehended. Columbia Heights Public Schools Superintendent says Ramos' family has an active asylum case with no order of deportation.
