Gandi Yusef Mohamed appeared in a Minneapolis federal courtroom Wednesday to decline the offer that prosecutors say was part of a broader scheme to steal $250 million in federal funds by claiming to serve meals to children during the pandemic.
While six other family members and associates charged alongside Mohamed have accepted or plan to take plea deals, he now remains the sole individual from his group heading to trial.
