1:20Now PlayingDave Tauer is one of nearly 80 people planning to sue ICE following a series of enforcement operations in Minnesota that allegedly involved excessive force and civil rights violations.
Tauer says he was dragged from his truck and punched in the head by agents on Jan. 24 while attempting to reach a protest following the death of Alex Pretti. While he was later labeled a "violent agitator" on ICE's social media, he maintains the agency's claim that he struck an officer with his vehicle was completely made up.
The law firm representing the plaintiffs plans to formally announce the first wave of lawsuits this Thursday.
