In March of 2013 and 2014, the average amount of potholes repaired ranged between 150 and 220.
Memphis Public Works crews repaired more than 13,000 potholes in 13 days. The average sized pothole - between 18 and 24 inches - costs about $50 to repair. Larger potholes, like one repaired Monday afternoon at Shadyac and North Second, cost between $150-$200 to repair.
Translation: More than 13,000 potholes repaired in March cost the city nearly $690,000.
