Herrington is accused of murdering Jimmie "Jay" Lee, a 20-year-old Ole Miss student who disappeared after last being seen at the Campus Walks Apartments on July 8, 2022. Lee's body was never discovered.
Day One of the trial included opening statements from the prosecution and the defense, testimony from Lee's mother and two friends close to the missing Ole Miss student.
The murder suspect told investigators that he and Lee had a sexual relationship and detectives claim that Herrington Googled things like "How long does it take to strangle somebody?" READ MORE
