Economics shapes everything, yet it's presented as a science. Let's explore how austerity is a choice rather than an inevitability. Economics shapes every aspect of our lives — from housing and education to the cost of everyday essentials — yet it is often presented as an untouchable science, beyond the reach of ordinary people. But what if austerity is not inevitable, but a political choice?

Featuring economists Clara Mattei and Carolina Alves, in conversation with Camila Vergara, the event will explore the impact of war on the cost of living as well as economic and political alternatives to austerity.
