Associated Press journalist Mstyslav Chernov’s harrowing first-person account of the early days of Russia's invasion of Ukraine “20 Days in Mariupol” won the best documentary Oscar on Sunday night. Volodymyr Nikulin, Mariupol police officer who helped AP journalists during the siege of the city said "I am very happy for my friends, for the team that received an Oscar, for our country.”
