25:57Now PlayingIt seems Islam is flavour of the day once again and continues to generate much interest from the media and wider society. After each terror attack journalists and political figures feel the need to say or do something and attempt to explain the situation. This week is no exception. Trevor Phillips former chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission was asked by Channel 4 to analyze a large scale survey which, we were told, revealed great insight into the Muslim mindset.
We also thought this subject was far too important to ignore, so we asked media spokesman for the Muslim's Public Affairs Committee Raza Nadim to analyze not only ICM's survey on what Muslims are thinking, but also, in the second part of the show, the wider implications of this type of survey and programme, which largely end up alienating rather than uniting people and communities.
