4:32Now PlayingThe working class people of Britain have loyally kept faith with the Labour Party for generations. However, the Labour Party ceased to be a route by which the working class could liberate themselves a long time ago. Indeed, much of the early achievements attributed to the politicians of the Labour Party, that helped cement the loyalty of the working class, were actually achievements of the Trade Union movement and workers themselves.
Nowadays there is little fundamental difference between the Tories and Labour for those who rightly see the class struggle as the real political struggle in every capitalist society. The Tories and Labour perform a good cop / bad cop routine. The end result is bad for the working class either way, but Labour deliver the bad news with a smile.
Our challenge is to help the working class get past the superstition that they must always vote Labour. We need to persuade them that they need a real worker’s party to vote for, and show them that we are that party.
