YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

It is 5 years ago to the day Grenfell was a towering inferno. 72 innocent souls perished in a fire that blazed throughout the night. The brave firefighters poorly resourced; in some ways, poorly led, were left up a tall building without a ladder - at least a ladder that would reach to the top of the building.

Kensington and Chelsea borough is home to some of the richest people in the world, and some of the poorest. The poorest live in tower blocks like Grenfell; improperly clad, indeed dangerously clad, with no proper exits. The relaxations that used to apply to cladding and fire safety had first been abandoned by the Blair Brown Labour government, but continued enthusiastically by the cost cutting deregulating, privatising, Conservative Liberal democratic coalition, and the Tory government that followed it.

There has been no justice for the victims and their families, while the villains that put up the improper cladding are still not on trial.
