Whey their stock market crashed in 1990 the took the Keynesian approach of government deficit spending, QE, corporate bailouts, pegging the yield curve and buying ETF's. Unfortunately most central bankers think a like so what was done in Japan will most likely be viewed as "correct" but just they were too timid. Japan should've done MORE spending, MORE money printing, MORE QE and negative interest rates should've gone lower. So if the US is following the same playbook should we expect the same results? A stagnant, low growth economy for decades? Maybe, maybe not. The US is far different in several key areas which we explore in this video!
