YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn the past 25 years, the results of Virginia’s off-year gubernatorial elections have foretold the direction of national midterms in all but two contests. Both parties are again looking to the Old Dominion for cues about the electorate’s mood and the chances of a Republican takeover of Congress in 2022.
AEI’s Chris Stirewalt, Georgetown University’s Mo Elleithee, Liberty University’s Robert Hurt, and Echelon Insights’ Kristen Soltis Anderson will bring their extensive knowledge of Virginian and national politics to discuss the possible outcomes of the November 2 contest between Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin. They will also examine the changing nature of politics in a state that reflects many of the demographic and political transformations happening nationwide.
