3:39:15Now PlayingMorning Session: Day 4 of 5 day trial.
6 Coloradoans have brought a petition seeking to have the Court direct Colorado's Secretary Of State to remove Trump from the ballot for the 2024 election. They allege that the U.S. Constitution Am. 14, Section 3 bars any person who "engaged in insurrection" from holding office as President of the United States. They further claim, that Trump's role in the siege of the Capitol on January 6, qualifies as "engaging in insurrection" and disqualifies him from running for office.
Petitioners rested. Judge predictably denied Trump's motion for a directed verdict.
The Defense opened with a bang as Kash Patel seemed unshakeable in his claims that Trump had the National Guard authorized to go as soon as he got word from Pelosi/Bower to deploy. Defense continues their case in chief.
This afternoon, we expect to hear additional Cross-examination of Dr. Simi and additional testimony from more of Petitioners' selected "experts" who are expected to pitch Petitioners' novel theory as being valid.
This case could have global implications for the 2024 election. Don't watch it alone. Grab your popcorn and watch trial attorneys reacting in real time to testimony, mistakes and sound strategies from both sides and assessing the judge's work as well.
