1:42:29Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump invoked 10 USC 12406 to seize California's National Guard ("CNG") to protect ICE Agents when they carry out Trump's immigration enforcement policies. Newsom claims the seizure was unconstitutional and illegal. He and the State of California filed in Court to obtain a declaratory judgment directing that the CNG is not lawfully under Trump's control. Additionally, Newsom seeks injunctive relief directing the CNG to stand down immediately unless and until the Court reaches a final resolution in Trump's favor. This afternoon, the parties are presenting oral argument about the injunctive relief before District Judge Breyer from the Northern District of California.
