Director Darren Aronofsky has always pioneered technology, using filmmaking tools to tell compelling, character-driven stories. Now, he’s embarking on a collaboration with Google DeepMind to produce three films that push the boundaries of AI and filmmaking.
In the first film, ANCESTRA, Director Eliza McNitt tells the deeply personal story of the day she was born, where an expectant mother draws on the strength of all that came before, from past matriarchs to dying stars, to transform her love into a cosmic force and save her daughter’s life. Watch Darren and Eliza use Google’s generative video model, Veo, to develop first-of-their-kind filmmaking techniques combining live action filmmaking with generative AI.
