as posted by the channelPutting Jesus first might sound like a good idea, but in reality, it implies that there are a hierarchy of things to do, some excluding Jesus. Rather putting Jesus first we should strive to put Jesus at the center of our lives. As Christians, we are new creations, and we are called to live out of this new, fully transformed identity. Everything we do, big or small, should be impacted by who we are in Christ and done in recognition of the fact that Jesus is all around us, inside of us, and empowering us. The truth is, we can do nothing apart from Jesus, and everything we do should be done for the glory of God. There is no task too small or ordinary that can't be done to bring glory to God if we are abiding in him as we are instructed to do in John 15. To abide in Jesus is to recognize his proximity to you, his all encompassing nature, his supremacy, and so much more. My challenge to you is to not see your life and your to-do list divided into "spiritual" and "ordinary" but to do everything for the glory of God, with him at the center.
