This week we're exploring Philippians 4, looking at one of the most misquoted verses in all of Scripture (and trust me, that's a tough title to earn), some Christian meditation motivation, and also a potential antidote to anxiety. This is our last week in the book of Philippians, and it's been such a pleasure going through it with you! I hope that in this video you can learn what Philippians 4:13 means IN CONTEXT (spoiler alert: it has to do with contentment, not Football games). I hope that in our meditation section you can learn about the foundation of Christian meditation and how you can harness the power of biblical positive thinking. When it comes to anxiety, we all deal with it to varying degrees, but in Philippians 4 we find a biblical approach to fending off anxiety based upon the knowledge of God's presence.

About Life in the Word:

Life in the Word is a weekly Bible Study where we go through one chapter at a time of a book of the Bible. The goal is that it would be a place where your love for the Bible grows, and that scholarly insights meet real world application. This isn't about using fancy words and sounding smart, it's about the beautiful simplicity of opening up the Bible and learning what we can from it. Stay tuned as new episodes drop every Thursday.

About me:

Hey! My name is Austin, and I'm a 21 year old guy with a passion for people. I believe the good news is that God is better than we could've ever hoped, and I love sharing this message of grace and love with anyone that will listen. I'm the former Digital Marketing and Video Production Coordinator at a large, evangelical church in Frederick, MD, and I'm currently a student at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. When I'm not writing papers or making YouTube videos, I do freelance work as a Wedding Photographer/Videographer and social media consultant. On any given day you can find me with my nose in a book or a guitar in my hands. Want to get to know me more? Follow me and say hi on Instagram at: @austin.suggs
