Few issues are of greater importance to theology and the life of the church than the question of the nature of the Lord's Supper/the Eucharist. Is Christ present in the Eucharist? And if so, how? Questions like this have not only divided Protestants and Catholics, but they have divided Protestants from the very beginning of the Reformation. In this video, Dr. Gavin Ortlund and Dr. Brett Salkeld engage in a dialogue on the Eucharist, focusing on questions of Christ's presence, the nature and circumstances of this, and the question of Eucharistic sacrifice. I grew up around Frederick, MD where I eventually ended up working my first job at a church. They made the mistake of letting me try my hand at teaching, and instantly I fell in love. That set me on a path for further education, and I'm currently a student at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL, studying theology.
