as posted by the channelHow do theology and philosophy relate? It's a question as old as the church with great minds falling on different sides. In this video, I'll be looking at St. Justin Martyr's teaching in his first apology where he lays out a view that the two go together as fulfillment and seed. Philosophy, for Justin, is the seed and Christianity is the true fulfillment of that seed.
In looking at this, we'll explore Justin's theology of the logos, and how that allowed him to take a liberating approach to truth, one in which he could pursue it wherever it might be found, trusting that all truth leads to Christ, who is the logos, the fulfillment of truth.
