14:50Now PlayingJohn Calvin has become a punching bag for many Christians online. And this isn't limited to Catholics and Orthodox. Many Protestants even find Calvin to be an easy person to hate.
And honestly, I get it. Some of his views are tough to swallow, and I don't agree with him on everything.
And yet, I think many people are rejecting him too lightly. When they do that, they miss out on learning from a genuinely interesting and remarkably brilliant conversation partner. So, in this video, despite not being a Calvinist myself, I offer a modest defense of Calvin and three lenses through which to view him that might help you appreciate him more.
