1. Shop around for major appliances and large purchase. I initially got a quote from Home Depot and then took it to Lowes to see if they would beat that price, and they did. $400 saved in less than an hour of work! Coming soon: Taking the Lowes quote back to home depot and seeing who goes down the most ;)
2. Shop around Google to find the lowest prices. I checked out Window Coverings from Amazon and Ikea, but after some quick searching, I found SelectBlinds had the lowest price for custom made blinds. Easy choice and they were awesome check them out hereYou can do this for just about any item you’re buying.
3. Do some of the minor work yourself. YouTube everything and you can get your own supplies for a fraction of the cost someone else will charge you for. I changed my own outlets pretty easily, as well as installing a lock - things that take under 10-15 minutes to do. Easy!
