YouTube Description
as posted by the channelHere’s a vlog-style behind the scenes look at exactly what’s involved in making these YouTube videos…it’s a lot more involved than most people think. Enjoy! Feel free to add me on Snap/Insta: GPStephan

I first start by figuring out what type of topic I want to talk about. I try to mix my videos up so it’s not repetitive, and I switch up topics as often as I can to keep it fresh.
Once I pick a topic I want to talk about, I pick what to wear. Usually I’ll wear something that I think matches well with the subject of the video.
From there, I’ll write out bullet points of what I want to say and in what order. This keeps me from getting side tracked, off topic, or jumping from subject to subject. Like in my last video about investing and remodeling real estate, I tried to make it flow in an order where one topic led to another.
Then, I film and hopefully the sound works ;)
From there, I’ll spend hours editing - this is the part that takes the longest. I try to cut anything out that doesn’t need to be in the video or is repetitive. I try to keep it as short and condensed as possible, rather than just keep a long video. I’ll edit it over 2 days, and sometimes re-watch it the next day in case I missed anything.
After this, I usually mess around with the thumbnail for about 20 minutes. Sometimes it’s a screen grab with text, sometimes it’s a new picture, but the title and thumbnail are so important that it’s usually worth spending as much time on this as possible.
Then I post it. And hopefully everyone enjoys watching it! Thanks again!
