A shocking honey trap scandal has surfaced in Anantapur district, raising serious concerns about law enforcement integrity.
According to reports, a gang allegedly targeted wealthy individuals by using women to initiate phone calls and chats, luring victims into fake relationships. Once trust was gained, victims were invited to private locations where compromising videos were secretly recorded. The gang then blackmailed victims, threatening to expose them unless money was paid.
What has shocked the public even more is the allegation that some police officials supported the accused instead of helping victims. Despite complaints, victims were reportedly pressured into settlements.
After the matter reached higher authorities, action was taken, and officers including CI Harsha and CI Rajendranath Yadav were reportedly sent to VR (Vacant Reserve).
