as posted by the channelAirborne School, officially known as the United States Army Airborne School, is a three-week course conducted at Fort Benning, Georgia. It trains soldiers in the skills necessary for parachute operations. The program is divided into three phases: Ground Week, Tower Week, and Jump Week. During Ground Week, soldiers learn parachute landing falls and basic parachute skills. Tower Week includes practice jumps from 34-foot and 250-foot towers to simulate actual jumps. In Jump Week, soldiers must successfully complete five parachute jumps from a C-130 or C-17 aircraft, including both combat equipment and mass tactical jumps, to earn their airborne wings.
