Letecia Stauch Trial | Al Stauch Phone Calls LIVE Recap Day 2 and 3

Letecia Stauch, a Colorado stepmother, has been charged with the murder of Gannon Stauch, her 11 year old stepson. The crime took place on January 27th, 2020 at 6627 Mandan Drive, Lorson Ranch, Colorado Springs.

These are phone calls that Al Stauch had with Letecia from the FBI offices, doing his best to get information out of her to find Gannon. The calls were recorded February 12-14, 2020. Gannon was murdered on January 27th, 2020. Letecia was arrested on March 2nd, 2020. Gannon's body was found on March 17th, 2020.

She had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. She has had three mental health evaluations and has been found sane and competent to stand trial. Case background: 11-year-old Gannon Stauch was last seen on January 27th, 2020 in the Lorson Ranch neighborhood in Colorado Springs, USA, entering his home with his stepmother, 38-year-old Letecia Stauch. Letecia reported him missing at 18:55 PM and then rented a car, drove around with her phone on flight mode, asked her daughter to help her buy carpet cleaner, baking soda, and trash bags, and then started fabricating stories to add to her timeline of events. On March 17th, 2020, Gannon's body was found in a suitcase in Pace, Florida, 1400 miles from home, where Letecia had visited in February with her daughter. She was arrested and charged with murder, based on all the evidence found, and has been held at the El Paso County Jail, where she has exhausted her attempts to win an insanity plea. Her trial starts on March 20th, 2023 and is expected to last at least 6 weeks.
