Case background: The Robeson County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina was investigating the death of 30-year-old Mica Miller after her husband's bizarre announcement of her death to his congregation at the end of a Sunday church service. She was discovered on April 27th, 2024 more than an hour away from her hometown with a fatal gunshot wound. Apparently, Mica sued JP for divorce two weeks ago and he was served with papers just 48 hours before she died.
He said: “I got a call late last night my wife has passed away. Yeah. It was self-induced and it was up in North Carolina and, um, we’re going to have a funeral for her next Sunday here at 3:00 p.m. Ya’ll knew that she wasn’t well mentally, and that she needed her medicine that was hard to get to her. I’m sure there’ll be more details to come.” He has scheduled a celebration of life ceremony for her on May 5th, 2024 at the Solid Rock Church.
