as posted by the channelFOLLY BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA | 34-year-old Samantha Miller and 36-year-old Aric Hutchinson got married on a beach in North Charleston, South Carolina on April 28th, 2023. They were on their way to their reception in a golf cart around 10 PM when 25-year-old drunk driver (who was 3 times over the legal limit) Jamie Lee Komoroski slammed into them, killing Samantha and injuring her husband and the two other people on the cart. She was arrested and charged with charged with three felony DUIs resulting in great bodily injury or death and one count of reckless homicide and was initially held in the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center without bond. In March 2024, she was released on bond. Her trial is set to start on December 2nd, 2024.
She could face up to 25 years in prison for the death of Samantha, as well of a fine of up to $25,100, and an additional 15 years and $10,100 for the serious injury caused to surviving victims.
