For NEARLY TWO DECADES, her murder remained UNSOLVED, with early leads pointing to a robbery gone wrong. But recent developments have seen the arrest of her husband, Jon Worrell. After fleeing to Costa Rica with his children, Jon evaded justice...until April 2025, when new evidence and the nanny (his mistress's) cooperation led to his arrest in Missouri. Let's discuss everything we know so far about this case.
This investigation is still active and ongoing.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the GBI regional investigative office in Douglas at (912) 3894103 or the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office at (912) 3844227. Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be given to the Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
