as posted by the channelOn Thursday, March 13th, 2025, Deputies with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office responded to Dye Road in Rutland, OH in reference to a suspicious death. After the initial review of the scene by deputies, the Meigs County Coroner’s Office was contacted and responded to the scene. 28-year-old Rosanna Kissinger’s death was ruled suspicious, and the body was sent to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. Samuel Hochstetler, 18, was arrested on May 5th, 2025, indicted by a Meigs County grand jury on May 22, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to all counts on May 23, 2025, which include aggravated m*rder, m*rder, r*pe, and kidnapping. In a recent hearing, Hochstetler took the stand in an effort to have his confession retracted; the Judge is yet to make a decision about that.
