On October 27th, 2024, tech executive Caitlin Tracey's body was discovered at the bottom of a stairwell in her husband, Adam Beckerink's luxury high-rise condo building in Chicago's South Loop. She had fallen more than 20 stories (reports specify 24 stories), resulting in multiple injuries from the fall, with her body described as "pulverized" and one foot severed. Adam Beckerink filed a missing person report shortly before her body was found, claiming he hadn't seen her in weeks or a month, but surveillance video from the building showed the couple together on October 24, 2024—just days prior. Exactly one year after her death, on October 27, 2025, Beckerink was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Tracey's death. Let's discuss everything we know so far.
