Days later, their bodies were discovered in a secluded area near T.C. Jester Park, a location known locally as a “Lovers Lane.” Cheryl had been s/a'd and fatally wounded, while Andy was found bound to a tree and killed nearby.
The case remained unsolved for 36 years despite extensive investigation. Authorities have just announced the arrest of Floyd William Parrott, 64, in Nebraska and have charged him with capital murder in connection to this double homicide; he is now awaiting extradition to Harris County.
