57:30Now PlayingKyle Sanchez, a former U.S. Army helicopter mechanic and MacDill Air Force Base data analyst with top-secret clearance, is facing the death penalty after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Amanda Roark, approximately 65 times inside their Tampa home on June 19, 2026.
In a chilling 911 call, Roark can be heard pleading for her life, saying “Please stop… you’re f***ing killing me.” Just minutes later, Sanchez called 911 himself and calmly told the dispatcher:
“I murdered my girlfriend… She’s beyond help.”
He claimed he had a “very unfriendly urge” and grabbed a knife. When deputies arrived, they found Roark dead and Sanchez covered in blood with a serious injury to his hand.
Sanchez has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder with a weapon. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, citing the crime as cold, calculated, premeditated, and especially heinous, atrocious, and cruel.
