The Department of Justice has announced a $1.776 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund drawn from taxpayer money, and Donald Trump says he knows nothing about it — despite being the plaintiff in the very lawsuit that created it. Hawk walks through who should actually be eligible to file claims: Capitol Police officers, the family of Officer Brian Sicknick, Mike Pence, Democratic staffers barricaded inside the Capitol on January 6th, and the officers who later took their own lives.

Brian Morrissey, the Treasury Department's general counsel and a Trump appointee, resigned the same day the fund was announced. Questions remain about whether the fund is even legal, since Congress controls the power of the purse.
