Hawk continues reflecting on white privilege, racism, and what it means to benefit from systems you never earned or asked for.
A creator Hawk follows said on video that Black Americans feel completely surrounded right now. That framing stuck with him. Hawk read the news about the Karmelo Anthony guilty verdict, was sick to his stomach, and then went to see his favorite band that night. He put the information down when it was convenient and picked it back up in the morning. That, he says, is privilege.
Donald Trump and Stephen Miller's birthright citizenship push under the 14th Amendment is not about immigration. Hawk argues its explicit purpose is stripping Black Americans of citizenship so the government is no longer legally required to treat them as citizens. Former Border Patrol chief Greg Bevino recently posted that his primary goal is deporting 106 million people. There are approximately 50 million Hispanic Americans and 52 million Black Americans in the United States. That is where that number comes from.
Refugee policy, World Cup visa denials, the Voting Rights Act, Pete Hegseth, South Carolina, Texas. It is not subtle and it is not hidden.
