The FBI testified before Congress claiming Antifa represents the number one domestic terror threat in America despite the fact that Antifa has no headquarters, no membership rolls, and no organizational structure. A Republican congressman pressed the issue with emotional appeals about ICE agents and CBP officers being attacked, while the FBI official doubled down on the Antifa narrative. Benny Thompson then took over questioning, repeatedly asking where Antifa headquarters is located and how many members the organization has. The FBI couldn't answer either question because Antifa doesn't exist as an actual organization.
Studies consistently show right-wing domestic terror groups are responsible for approximately 85% of political murders in the United States since 9/11, while left-wing groups account for roughly 13%. Yet the FBI leadership now focuses on a phantom threat. Trump issued executive orders declaring Antifa a domestic terror organization, followed by Pam Bondi's DOJ memo on enforcement. These policies could classify the 75 million Americans who voted for Kamala Harris as potential domestic terrorists simply for criticizing Trump, Christianity, capitalism, or government policies.
The administration lacks the personnel and infrastructure to surveil millions of Americans after Kash Patel gutted the FBI and DOJ staffing. Meanwhile, billion-dollar contracts with Palantir suggest technology solutions for mass surveillance. The incompetence spans from Antifa fearmongering to Pete Hegseth seizing Venezuelan oil tankers and killing fishermen without evidence of criminal activity. The combination of administrative incompetence with actual power creates dangerous consequences including what amounts to murder while chasing threats that don't exist.
