He describes some of the humorous and tense moments that occurred during jury selection, including Trump appearing to fall asleep at the defense table again. He also notes that the attorneys grilled potential jurors about their social media history and past comments criticizing Trump. The judge at one point scolded Trump for what the judge deemed as an attempt at jury intimidation.
Hawk is optimistic that the trial is moving faster than expected, with the judge indicating opening statements could begin as soon as next Monday. He plans to do a longer podcast tomorrow to answer viewer questions about the trial.
