Coffee with Hawk Episode 066: September 13, 2024

Hawk kicked off his Friday the 13th episode by sharing his emotional rollercoaster ride after the recent debate. Apparently, he went from feeling an "unimaginable amount of joy" to becoming a human vegetable for two days. Talk about debate hangover! He then dove into the Springfield, Ohio saga, where a disturbed woman's cat-eating incident somehow morphed into a full-blown immigrant conspiracy theory. It's like a game of telephone gone horribly wrong, with Donald Trump and JD Vance playing the roles of overzealous rumor-mongers.

Hawk then treated us to a delightful tour of Trump's recent fumbles, including the brilliant decision to have Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard as his debate prep team. Because nothing says "presidential" like being coached by the political equivalent of Dumb and Dumber. Hawk also highlighted the new security measures for the electoral vote count, which will now have the same level of protection as the Super Bowl. Apparently, democracy is now as sacred as overpriced beer and halftime shows.

The episode wrapped up with a dramatic reading of Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris, which sent shockwaves through the political world and probably made a few MAGA hats spontaneously combust. Hawk likened it to a bomb going off, but "in a good way" - you know, the kind that makes conservatives cry and voter registration websites crash. He closed by reminding everyone to take care of their mental health and not get arrested over the weekend, because nothing says "responsible citizen" like staying out of jail while the world goes mad.
