Apparently, recording and delivering podcasts by carrier pigeon just wasn't a viable backup plan, but he's back now with a vengeance and some juicy news to share.
The main dish of the day was Trump's latest face-palm moment, courtesy of The Atlantic, where it was revealed he complained about the cost of a fallen soldier's funeral with all the grace of Ebenezer Scrooge at a charity dinner. The cherry on top? Trump apparently wanted "Hitler's generals" because they were "loyal," prompting his chief of staff John Kelly to give him an impromptu history lesson that probably went over about as well as trying to teach quantum physics to a goldfish.
The episode wraps up with a grab bag of political updates, including Republicans suddenly loving early voting (plot twist!), another Russian oligarch discovering gravity the hard way (oops), and Trump's super PAC being about as financially stable as a Jenga tower in an earthquake. Hawk signed off by reminding everyone that with the election approaching, it's imperative to take care of their mental health - which after all these updates, seems like pretty solid advice.
