They formed a conspiracy to interfere with the 2016 election by fabricating negative stories about Trump's opponents and later about Hillary Clinton.
The National Enquirer's covers played a significant role in influencing public opinion. The value of this relationship to Trump's campaign was estimated to be between $40 to $70 million.
