The Relationship Between Trump and David Pecker

In this episode, Hawk discusses the testimony of David Pecker, a friend of Donald Trump and former head of the National Enquirer. Pecker had a long-standing relationship with Trump and the National Enquirer, with Trump feeding them stories and Pecker publishing flattering articles about him. They formed a conspiracy to interfere with the 2016 election by fabricating negative stories about Trump's opponents and later about Hillary Clinton.

The National Enquirer's covers played a significant role in influencing public opinion. The value of this relationship to Trump's campaign was estimated to be between $40 to $70 million.

Hawk also criticizes Merrick Garland for not including this information in the investigation into the 2020 election.
