The case of ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot Renee Good in Minneapolis, serves as a critical example of what awaits agents who believe they have immunity from state prosecution.
Federal immunity granted by the Supreme Court applies exclusively to Donald Trump and does not extend to ICE agents, Border Patrol officers, or any other federal law enforcement personnel. State courts maintain jurisdiction over crimes committed within their borders, and presidential pardons cannot shield agents from state charges. The practice of wearing masks during operations demonstrates consciousness of guilt, as no other law enforcement agency in America requires officers to conceal their identities during routine duties.
