ICE agents have shot four people in the first nine days of 2025, killing two of them. Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was shot three times in the head by ICE agent Jonathan Ross during a protest in Minneapolis. Keith Porter, a 43-year-old father of two, was killed by an off-duty ICE agent on New Year's Eve in Los Angeles. These killings represent an alarming pattern of violence against American citizens.
The federal government immediately labeled Renee Good a domestic terrorist, despite her being an unarmed protester with three children, including a six-year-old. Keith Porter wasn't even protesting when he encountered the off-duty ICE agent who shot him. The lack of accountability for these shootings, combined with the silence from Second Amendment advocates who claim to oppose government tyranny, reveals the hypocrisy at the heart of American gun rights rhetoric.
Police kill over a thousand Americans every year, but ICE violence has escalated to one shooting every other day in 2025. The administration shows no incentive to prevent further bloodshed. Americans now face reasonable fear for their physical safety when encountering ICE agents, whether protesting or not. The Second Amendment crowd remains silent as actual government tyranny unfolds, exposing their selective concern for gun rights that only extends to certain demographics. This violence will continue to escalate unless accountability is demanded.
