Trump just terminated all federal childcare funding for ALL STATES based on a video from a 23-year-old YouTuber named Nick Shirley who showed up at daycare centers with eight other men, some wearing masks in unmarked vehicles. The fraud case he "uncovered" has already been investigated for four years with 90 people prosecuted and imprisoned. Trump made this decision because 85 of those convicted were Somali descent, despite Minnesota being a swing state where 1.5 million people voted for him in 2024.
Federal childcare assistance payments are now gone for all states, affecting millions of families including Trump voters who depend on these programs. Childcare costs have become astronomical, and removing this support aligns directly with Project 2025 goals of pushing women out of the workforce and back into traditional homemaker roles from the 1840s and 1850s.
The video went viral on right-wing media with Elon Musk retweeting it, despite daycare centers rightfully refusing entry to strangers with cameras wanting access to children. Minnesota voters including farmers and families who supported Trump are now facing consequences of policies they voted for, expecting them to hurt others instead.
Obamacare subsidies are expiring with 45% of those losing health insurance being Trump voters, 35% Democrats, and 20% independents. Farm bankruptcies hit record highs as 80% of farmers voted for Trump three times despite being hurt by his first term policies. The racism that motivated these votes comes with severe financial consequences for the very communities that supported him.
