Trump's Venezuela military operation reveals the petty motivations behind American foreign policy under his administration. Congress has abdicated constitutional oversight, allowing Trump to inform major oil companies before notifying elected representatives. Trump lied to Congress for months about regime change intentions in Venezuela while planning this military strike. The administration now treats sovereign nations like game pieces, with Trump making threats against Cuba, Colombia, and Greenland. JD Vance and Pete Hegseth will apparently govern Venezuela through Zoom calls, demonstrating the incompetence and arrogance of this approach.
The United States has surrendered moral authority in international diplomacy, operating with the same disregard for sovereignty that Putin shows in Ukraine. Constitutional government continues breaking down as Republicans in Congress refuse to challenge Trump's illegal actions and constitutional violations. American military executed the Caracas mission efficiently, but the political motivations behind the Venezuela invasion expose Trump's psychological disorders and grievance-based decision making. This foreign policy disaster represents white male entitlement and the dangers of unchecked executive power.
